Turns out, we’re pretty darn good at fall.
There’s something about Kingsville in the fall.
The summer crowds thin out. The sweaters come out. Coffee tastes better. The wineries are still pouring. Downtown is made for wandering, and Lake Erie somehow manages to put on a pretty spectacular show just about every night.
And apparently, we’re not the only ones who think so.
Ontario’s Southwest recently named Kingsville one of “6 Cozy Main Streets and Neighbourhoods Worth Wandering This Fall.”
We’ll take it.
Their list travels through some of the best little pockets of Southwestern Ontario, but Kingsville landed right at the top, earning a shoutout for its historic downtown, local shops and restaurants, wine country, waterfront and that wonderfully unhurried pace we get to enjoy once summer packs up and heads home. Ontario’s Southwest calls Kingsville especially good for couples’ weekends, wine lovers and leisurely lunches, with local stops including Dutch Boys Chocolate, Red Lantern Coffee Co. and O’Sarracino Trattoria and Wine Bar. Ontario’s Southwest
We can think of a few more places worth accidentally wandering into, too.

Ontario’s Southwest recommends ending your wandering with a sunset stroll at Lakeside Park, just a few minutes from downtown by car or an easy 15-to-20-minute walk. Ontario’s Southwest

Cooler air. Fewer people. Big lake. Bigger sky.
No beach bag required.

Under “Stay Awhile,” Ontario’s Southwest recommends The Grove Hotel. Ontario’s Southwest
Convenient, considering you’ve just spent the day eating, drinking, shopping and wandering around our hometown.
The Grove Hotel sits right in downtown Kingsville in our historic 1854 building, which means once you check in, you can park the car and keep right on wandering.
Or don’t.
Your room is pretty great too.
